Apostasy Alert

What is happening to the church in Cornwall?

* It has succumbed to a lie:
i.e. Get the churches of all denominations and strands together and God will send revival.
It now promotes the lie and in so doing compromises the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

* It promotes a false and soft gospel which omits the doctrine of repentance:
i.e. Jesus loves you, let Him into your heart and everything will be alright.
However:

"Repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations" (Lk. 24:47).
"God now commands all men everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30).
* It accepts false doctrine without question:
Ecumenicism, Toronto, Faith and Prosperity, Alpha, Rick Warren, Emerging church, British Israelism, Roman Catholicism, etc etc.
Thus fulfilling 2Tim. 4:3:
"The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires."
* It fails in its God given task to uphold and declare Biblical truth (1Tim. 3:15), consequently it no longer contends earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints (Jude 3).

* It believes God is pleased and will bless it for these things.
But:
2Cor. 6:17,18

"Come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord, "and do not touch what is unclean, and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you and you shall be sons and daughters to Me," says the Lord Almighty.
God will not bless His people when they "mix-in" and defile themselves with those of unclean doctrine and morals. He will bless them when they separate themselves from all such unholiness.

* It is under a severe delusion.
2Thess. 2:11

"For this reason (because they did not receive the love of the truth, v.10) God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false."
* Consider:
1Tim. 4:1
"The Spirit explicitly states that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons."
The majority of churches in Cornwall (along with many more worldwide) have swallowed the devil's lies and fallen into apostasy. Unless there is repentance and a turning away from error and a return to a love of Biblical truth there cannot be genuine revival.

"Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent" (Rev. 3:19).

It is not (yet) too late to change direction!
